About Airtap

AirTap Communications, LLC founded to create new wireless access means to better serve remote business communications in any environment. Since its inception, AirTap has developed and implemented several breakthrough wireless solutions.

From the development and deployment of a wireless emergency response network to reconnect New Orleans after hurricane Katrina in 2005 to implementation of today's breakthrough Gulf of Mexico Broadband Network, AirTap's has provided engineered wireless solutions where the need is greatest. Our team responded when all other communications systems were lost during one of the worst disasters to hit Louisiana since 1969. We developed new methods, designs and standards while pushing technology to its limits to overcome the challenges presented in a post storm New Orleans. Lessons learned during these challenges are integrated into all of AirTap's network designs and service standards.

AirTap Communications is currently deploying a revolutionary high-speed communications wireless network to deliver the latest technologies to the oil and gas industry. Today AirTap operates the Gulf of Mexico's largest high speed, multi-point broadband network. Its' pure digital, low latency technologies provide fast internet, high quality video, secure data and clear VoIP voice communications which until now have not been available in the GoM from a single network with wide area coverage.

Using the latest cutting edge WiMAX technologies and fiber-backed, carrier-grade backhaul, AirTap enables enterprise class broadband solutions to remote locations. Remote operations can now be performed from the desktop, board room, or conference center of any internet connected office, anywhere at any time. All at an economical cost that has not previously been possible.

Today, AirTap is a full service communications company providing managed services to industry and government including network management, carrier services and a full range of broadband and converged IP solutions.
